昆明综合保税区情况简介Profile of KMFTZ

2016年2月3日，国务院正式批准设立昆明综合保税区。这是继2011年国务院《关于支持云南省加快建设面向西南开发重要桥头堡的意见》发布以来，昆明在加速发展道路上又一重大利好消息，也是昆明市积极融入国家“一带一路”倡议，主动适应新常态，着力谋求新发展的“新引擎”。

The Kunming free trade zone (KMFTZ) was established on February 3, 2016 upon the official approval of the State Council. This is another important step in Kunming’s accelerated development after the release of the Some Opinions on Supporting Yunnan’s Accelerated Development to Establish Itself as China’s Gateway Open to the Southwest, and also a “new engine” that drives Kunming to implement the “The Belt and Road Initiative”, adapt to the “new normal”, and pursue new development.

昆明综合保税区总规划面积为1.01平方公里，分为经开片区和空港片区。

With a total planned area of 1.01 km², KMFTZ is divided into Direct 1 and District 2.

经开片区是原昆明出口加工区，于2005年6月经国务院批准设立，2008年2月封关运行，经开片区的围网面积0.42平方公里，包括保税监管仓库、保税加工标准厂房、办公楼、倒班房、配电设施等。主要涉及珠宝玉石、电子信息、太阳能光伏、生物食品、飞行员培训等项目。

District 1 is built based on the original Kunming Export Processing Zone which was established in June 2005 upon the approval of the State Council, and opened in February 2008. Covering an enclosed area of 0.58 km², District I primarily consists of supervised bonded warehouses, standard bonded workshops, office buildings, shift workers’ dormitory, and power distribution facilities. Companies in this district are mainly engaged in jewelry manufacturing, electronic information, solar power, biological food, and pilot training.

空港片区位于昆明长水国际机场旁，昆明空港经济区临空产业带的中部，规划面积0.59平方公里，空港片区具体分为保税功能区、口岸作业区和综合服务区等功能板块。

District 2 is now under construction. Standing near Kunming Changshui International Airport, the district is built in the middle of the Kunming Airport Economic Zone Airport-Based Industrial Belt on an planned area of0.59 km². The district is divided into several functional areas such as the bonded area, port area, and comprehensive service area.
